Mendota Heights resident Tom Smith was published in the Villager newspaper 2/5/20 edition, p. 9. Smith shared concerns about the recent events within the city Planning Commission.

Thankfully, three City Council members voted against the variance that would, if granted, have permitted the self storage unit in the city.  However, voting in favor of the variance were Mayor Garlock and Councilman Joel Paper, whose votes were to violate the requirements of the city variance ordinance.
